Primary education

Free pre-primary education is provided in the year before compulsory schooling begins for all children aged 6. The purpose of pre-primary education is to promote and support a child's growth, development and learning. Pyhäjoki Municipality organises pre-primary education based on the municipality's core curriculum for pre-primary education.

How pre-primary education is implemented

Registration for pre-primary education is in the spring. More information is available in the weekly Kuulumiset newspaper and on the Pyhäjoki website.

A child of pre-primary education age is entitled to supplementary early childhood education and care. A separate application for this must be made via the Daisy system. More

During the 2024-2025 school year, pre-primary education will be organised in two groups in Parhalahti child daycare centre pre-school and in Yppäri Pre-school.
